Top 5 cases when noise helps with tasks
We put together 5 cases when it’s worth trying any of our noise presets.
How we made the list
The main idea is the flow state. It’s the holy grail of work – when you’re so interested in what you’re doing that you forget about everything around you.
To get into flow, you need a few ingredients:
- a clear goal
- strong feedback
- a level of difficulty that slightly exceeds your current abilities.
The last point is the most interesting one – the task shouldn’t be overwhelmingly hard. A task that’s too easy will make you bored too. You need to hit the bullseye – demand a little more from yourself than you can do.
White, pink, brown noise and lofi tracks are one of the best ways to fill the thinking channel and push yourself into a flow state.
An idea for experiments
So, our list:
- Drawing: we combine visual, tactile, and sound stimuli.
- Workout: you don’t want to get distracted by either people in the gym or the words in a song. Noise helps you focus on the sensation of your own body.
- Reading: switching from TikTok to a book is hard – you constantly want a change of stimulus. White noise will help you switch.
- Exams: every minute counts, the stakes are higher than ever. When you’re tired it’s easy to slip into procrastination and start scrolling YouTube. Our service saves you from distracting videos.
- Programming: when you think nonstop for several hours in a row, you want to get distracted. I’m used to going to YouTube – and I quickly realize that I’m either listening or programming, but not both at the same time. White noise and lofi are my saviors.
